Policies

Due to our remote mountain location and limited number of cabins, we have adopted the following policies. THEY ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

CABIN & RV RENTAL POLICIES


  • Check-in is anytime after 3 pm. Check out is before 11 am. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR EARLY CHECK OUTS. NO EARLY CHECK-INS ALLOWED.
  • NO PETS ARE ALLOWED in cabins or around the cabin area. For RVers: the County and Forest Service strictly enforce a leash law.
  • Fish Lake Resorts Association welcomes all registered service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. All other animals, including “emotional support animals”, fall under our no pet policy. Please be respectful to guests truly qualifying to bring their service animals to our property. In the state of Utah, it is a class C misdemeanor to misrepresent any animal as a registered service animal to gain benefits or to avoid complying with a lodging, restaurant, retail establishment, or any other facility’s pet policy.
  • ATV's, motorcycles, and all other all-terrain vehicles are prohibited within the Fish Lake Basin area. This includes the parking and drive areas around Lakeside Resort and Fish Lake Lodge. Contact the Loa Ranger's office for information on ATV allowed areas.
  • Forest Service regulations prohibit use of campers or tents parked or pitched by cabins. All overnight camping must be in designated campgrounds.
  • NO CAMPFIRES are allowed in the cabin areas. BBQ's must be at least 10 inches up off the ground. Also keep BBQ's off all porches, motel deck and walkway. note: always check ahead for fire restrictions.
  • Fish Lake Resorts Associates reserves the right to move your reservation to a comparable or upgraded cabin without notice.
  • Fish Lake Resorts Associates reserves the right to refuse accommodations, confiscate security deposits, and/or evict persons, without refund, who refuse to obey Resort and/or Forest Service rules and regulations.
  • All rental charges will be included the nightly rate plus all applicable state and local sales and transient taxes in addition to a 3% Forest Service use fee.
  • Each cabin was built for a specific occupancy, THIS INCLUDES CHILDREN OF ANY AGE. Fire codes and insurance regulations dictate maximum capacities and THEY ARE NOT ADJUSTABLE. If you exceed the maximum capacity for your cabin, you will lose your security deposit and your reservation.
  • RV's must be self contained to stay in the park. We do not have a bathroom/shower house.
  • RV GUESTS MUST FIRST CHECK IN WITH THE LAKESIDE STORE BEFORE ENTERING THE PARK. All sites can be reserved in advance. We do not have walk-in only sites.
  • In the RV park second vehicle is defined as an additional RV, camper, trailer, or tent in which someone is staying overnight. Spaces are limited to a total of three vehicles and no more than 3 tents. THERE ARE NO TENT ONLY SITES.
  • Cell phone use is limited in the basin. Boosters are located outside of Fish Lake Lodge and Lakeside Store.
  • Internet services are not available.
  • Due to our remote mountain location we cannot guarantee television reception, but we try our best.
  • Towel exchange is between 9 am to 3 pm. Daily maid service is not offered. Please advise of any maintenance needs as soon as possible.
  • Fishing licenses are available at the Lakeside Store.
  • Firewood is not provided, but bundles are for sale at the stores. (During the winter months wood is provided.)
  • If someone is arriving before you, and you wish them to be able to check in, you MUST add their name to the reservation. They will be responsible for the security/damage deposit also.
  • If you are arriving after store hours, the store will leave a map on the door with your name on it leading to your cabin. The cabin will be left unlocked with the lights on. You will come in the next morning to sign your paperwork and get your key.
  • ID is required at check in.

BOAT RENTAL POLICY


  • All boat rentals include life jackets for each person in the boat. Only bring life jackets if you have infants or toddlers, for we do not have any in these sizes.
  • Maximum capacities include children of any age. Boats will not be allowed to leave the marina if capacity is over limit. PONTOONS HOLD 10 PEOPLE, ALUMINUM BOATS HOLD 6 PEOPLE, PEDAL BOATS AND KAYAKS HOLD 2 PEOPLE.
  • Life jackets must be worn at all times by children under the age of 18. Though we do require that everyone wear one at all times.
  • All boats are provided their first tank of gas. Every tank after, you are responsible for.
  • People under the age of 18 are not allowed to rent or drive the boats. Driver license is required to rent.
  • Rental times are dependent on daylight hours. please check with reservations for checkin and return times.
  • Boats are not to be taken ashore at any point during the rental.
  • BBQ's and any other cooking devices are not allowed on the boats at any time.
  • No towing anything with our boats. This includes but not limited to: tubes, wake boats, water skies, ect. It's not covered with our insurance.
  • We will ask you for a security/damage deposit upon arrival. This is payable by credit card imprint only. Imprints are destroyed in the office after the attendant has checked the boat provided, there is no excessive cleaning, no damage, loss of company equipment, and you haven't exceeded the maximum capacity.
  • Security deposits may be charged, if you fail to bring the boats back at the return time.
  • Fishing licenses are available at the Lakeside Store.
  • If you book a boat for multiple days, you must return it along with any keys at the end of each day to the marina attendant.
  • Our boats only go out during daylight hours. We do not have night rentals.
  • Fish Lake Resorts Associates reserves the right to refuse accommodations, confiscate security deposits and/or evict persons, without refund, who refuse to obey Resort and State Park, Fish and Game regulations.
  • All rental charges will include all applicable state and local taxes.
  • If someone will be arriving before you, and you wish for them to be able to check in, you MUST add their name to the reservation. They will be responsible for the security/damage deposit also.
  • Pets are allowed on the boats. However, you are responsible for any damages or excess cleaning.
  • Fish Lake Resorts is not responsible for weather and mother nature related conditions. No refunds will be issued due to bad weather, lack of ice, lack of open water, fire, power outages etc.

RENTAL DEPOSIT POLICY


Reservations are paid in full. Unless booking for the following year for Memorial weekend on, then the following policy applies.

Booking rentals for the following year starts June 1st. Reservations made prior to April 15th require the first nights rent to hold the reservation on a multiple night stay. One night stays are due in full. Remaining balance is due no later than May 10th. Final balances not paid by May 10th result in the cancellation of the reservation. Please note: CANCELLATIONS RECEIVED BEFORE MAY 1ST RECEIVE 50% OF FIRST NIGHTS DEPOSIT. CANCELLATIONS MADE AFTER MAY 1ST RECEIVE NO REFUNDS OF PAID MONIES. Reservations made after April 15th require full payment due. Payments may be made by MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express. Credit cards will be charged at the time the reservation is made. Once payment is received ANY changes made to the reservation are subject to a $25 processing fee, in addition to any applicable cancellation policy. Reservations for the RV park require payment in full in advance at the time reservation is made. Reservations made online require payment in full. Same cancellation policies apply.

SECURITY DEPOSIT


Security deposits are required at check-in and are not payable in advance. Acceptable payment method is credit card imprint. The deposits are destroyed in the office after departure and housekeeping has cleaned and inspected the cabin/boat provided: 1)there are no missing items or damages to the cabin/boat or resort property. 2) the maximum cabin/boat capacity has not been exceeded, and 3) there is no excessive cleaning required. Excessive cleaning includes, but is not limited to, loose trash, dirty dishes or ovens (no broiling), furniture and carpet stains, stained linens, and smoking in cabins. Guest will be notified before any charges are made to credit card.


CANCELLATION POLICY


Cancellations received 45 days or more prior to the reservation date will receive a 50% refund of amount paid. Cancellations received 44 days or less prior to the reserved date will receive no refund. ABSOULTELY NO REFUNDS for last minute cancellations, no shows or downgrades. MACKINAW AND MOOSE HOLLOW CABIN CANCELLATION AFTER JANUARY 1ST RECIEVE NO REFUND OF PAID MONIES. Fish Lake Resorts is not responsible for weather and mother nature related conditions. No refunds will be issued due to bad weather, lack of ice, lack of open water, fire, power outages etc.


When planning your reservation/vacation in the mountains and making reservations months or even a year in advance you are assuming some risk. There are numerous things that can go wrong. There is the possibility of forest fires, smoke, flood, drought, road closures, snow storms, rain, wind pandemic, personal emergencies, or many other foreseen events. Our cancel policy is as its  stated above, unless we are able to rebook those days. Several large cabins there are no refund's after January 1st. If you are concerned about something going wrong during your vacation we urge you to talk to an insurance agent about getting trip insurance to cover any unforeseen issues.
